This really isn't that difficult to setup (in theory). It will obviously be much easier to do in the next version of the software as we could directly edit the upload parameters so that we can convert the file into a format that is compatible with mobile users. You can actually do this today, although you would have to have all of your videos in one format (the easiest format would be MP4 as most mobile phones today support it) and you would have to upgrade the default player to the latest version (so that you can get MP4 support). Once you do that, building the pages to play back the video should be fairly simple.

Yep. The next version is supposed to be unencrypted so it should be much easier to work with. However, even encrypted (today), you can add in mobile phone functionality. It would be more of an add-on versus a code modification.

Well, if you are talking about emailing a video from your phone, that can be done fairly easily, especially if done via email. Simply parse the email message, pull out the video, copy it to your import folder, then convert as needed.

the modification. Make the mod and post it for the community to use. From what you say this is easy to do, then why not, if you have some time, do it and post it for all to use.

We're talking about two parts here. The first part is sending an email from your phone that contains a movie attached and copying that into vShare. The second part is being able to watch videos from your mobile phone. The first one would require that all videos that are sent from mobile phones via email would have to go to your import folder so that an administrator could manually add in all of the required information for importing (Title, Description, Tags, etc). The second one is the one that would require considerably more work. It would require all of your videos being in a format that can be read by a mobile phone (that's part one), and it would require a separate interface for viewing the videos (that's part two). The first one I could do for free as that would only take about a day or two to complete (once I actually got started on it). The second one would not be a free mod at all as it would take a lot of time. It would require creating a program that goes through and reconverts all of the flv files to another format, it would require changing the default FLV player, it would require creating new files to display the content on mobile phones, and it would require changing the default upload parameters to create files in a format other than FLV.
