This command should convert video into FLV, it it do not work, you have probem with mencoder installation.

ok now i upload the video and i can see the thumbnail when i click on it the video it wont play..in my admin panel it shows no duration..if i go to the file manager to look for the file i uploaded its there....whats the deal?

You may have a faulty mencoder installation on the server. You need to contact web host and see the convert command works on the server. If not, mencoder need to be fixed.
