404 error - site was working

OK, I've had my site online for almost a month now. Then all of the sudden 2 days ago, the site completely died. If I go to the home page, I get 404 error... If I try going to the admin page, I get the same. I checked my test site and that still works, and I even copied the .httaccess file from that site into this site and still doesn't help. Both my GynoTube site, and my vshare site are on the same server and same domain. So, what gives?

I have gone in with ftp to verify the files are all still there, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Even if no .htaccess home page will work. May be some thing wrong with server. To know exact reason yoyu need to check apache log. How you fixed it now ?

I ended up re uploading the whole site from my computer. I got lucky I had a backup. I started with just a few files that I thought had changed, but then just decided to re upload everything, and somewhere along the line, the site started working again.

You can check the dates of file modified so u will get some idea if the problem is caused by a file change. If you have this problem again, mail me i can check why this happend.
