404 error - site was working

I ended up re uploading the whole site from my computer. I got lucky I had a backup. I started with just a few files that I thought had changed, but then just decided to re upload everything, and somewhere along the line, the site started working again.

You can check the dates of file modified so u will get some idea if the problem is caused by a file change. If you have this problem again, mail me i can check why this happend.
