Enable Upload Progress Bar

I'm happy to say that I had no trouble with this one. I followed the instructions in the original post, and everything works like a charm.

Actually, I was really surprised with the level of detail that this tool provides. I had envisioned it as being a simple status bar that gave no extra information.

Ive seen to installs both running different versions of cpanels that have trouble with the upload bar.

I guess I should also say that I am using plesk as my control panel. Any suggestions on getting this thing going?

For those of you who may have missed it, here's a great idea for it which was posted here: http://forums.buyscripts.in/viewtopic.php?p=5402 about adding content to the blank page that appears while the video is being processed.

Plesk has proved to be a real pain in the arse. It seems to be some problem with the url part example home/username/public_html/video cpanels url but plesks is dodgy. Dunno why it causes it though.

turtle, i don't know what is meant by using plesk control panel...are you not uploading the files with FTP and doing the chmod thing? If not, can you?

Plesk is not good as Cpanel, Godaddy provide it with VPS.

The path is some thing like

/var/www/vhosts/yourdomains.extn/httpdocs/

When using Plesk make sure Safe Mode is OFF and open_base_dir is not set, some times, they are set and create problems. Also cgi-bin is outside the httpdocs folder.

I did everything based on your postings - but still getting this error message.

ERROR: Failed to load default config file uu_default_config.pm

Please let me know how can I fix this issue.

It seems your uu_default_config.pm is corrupted.

Use the one provided with vshare zip, modify it. When modifying becarefull as you are modifying a perl script, if you do some thing that break syntax of perl script, it will not work. Use notepad to edit, not MS Word or similar editor.

If nothing works, upload the file to your public_html and provide the link to that file, so i can check if your modifications are proper.

I am at my whit's end with this. I have tried EVERYTHING

the upload progress bar will just not work for me.

I used the path from my server (im using plesk) and the shit wonk work /var/www/vhosts/<SiteNamehere>/httpdocs/

i keep getting 500 internal server error.

i checked the 2 variables you said to and it still says that.

What can i be missing. Zeffer also tried to do it and to no avail
