Actually that post didn't answer the question. When I make the upload progress bar inactive, I don't have a problem uploading and converting. But if I do make it active and make all the appropriate changes the bar moves and does what it is suppose to it doesn't convert the video. And because I can convert videos without the progress bar active I know it can't be the mencoder.
