Thread: Problem(s)..

  1. #1

    Default Problem(s)..

4 things.. 2 i have already posted in another thread but ill group them altogether now.

    1. "FireFox connection reset"
    2. Asks me to download upload.php instead up it completing upload of the video
    3. Doesnt convert .wmv files. Comes back with no file in /flvideo/ directory
    4. Sometimes .flv does not work. It will come back with a 0 byte file in /flvideo/ directory

Help on the last 3 would be most helpful the connect reset doesnt matter as much.. but would be nice if everything was working flawlessly so people that i have waiting to upload can upload videos that work instead of wasting there time.

The problem may due to mencoder, ffmpeg etc... not working properly. Upload a video, check the debug.txt in templates_c folder, you will see the command used to convert video, verify by running it from command prompt.

If you upload a video now and provide url, i can check your debug log and provide some suggestions.

wmv do not work because ffmpeg is not installed with wmv support.

Try uploading wmv to http://video.bizhat.com, it will work.

Its installed.. This si what my host had to say..

"ffmpeg is installed with wmv support, we even tested it with clipshare script before configuring it and its working fine. Its also working with video CMS script.
more information from the developer would be appreciated as what changes are exactly needed for the script.."

    Thank you!

clipshare is not using ffmpeg for convertion of wmv, they use mencoder.

Anyway upload a wmv file, then check debug log (templates_c/debug.txt), you will see the command used to convert.

Try running that command from command prompt, you will see the error, you may be missing some codec for wmv convertion.

I dont have no idea how to access command prompt so you will have to guide me through it.. or if you have like MSN or something I can contact you using a live messenger to get this done quickly.. and easier.
