Embed Into forum

Hi i was wondering how can i embed video from yall script onto a forum post :)

Depends on the forum. Most forums do not allow HTML code so the only thing that you could is link to the video's URL. If the forum allows Flash, you can use the object embed code (most forums do not allow flash though due to advertising). If they do allow HTML, you could try using the iFrame embed code. Usually, though, only Chinese forums allow for that.

Are you asking about BB Codes for vshare like most have for YouTube and other sites? I have no clue but someone was asking me about BBCodes for one of my vShare sites...would be a nice thing, eh?

Do you want to embed the videos directly to your forum? That means that you can watch the video direct here in the thread.
Then you need a mod for your forum.

Or do you want a link with BB codes in our vshare script?
Then it is a vshare mod.

What's needed is the BBCode to be able to embed videos into forums, just like one can with the BBCodes for YouTube.

You put something like this:

Code:

[youtube]http://youtubevideo/blahblahblah[/youtube]

and the youtube video is shown. What would be nice is let's say I have videos at my site but other forums out there involved in the same hobby want to reference a video from my site, they would put

Code:

[df2videos]http://df2videos/flv/blahblahblah[/df2videos]

for the BBcode.

Currently, I use the URL bbcode to send people straight to my site for the videos. It would NOT be a good idea to link straight to your FLVs as that is how hotlinking and bandwidth stealing is created.

That's currently how I am doing it, which is nice since it drives traffic to the site, but some ppl don't mind the bbcode used in forums. Thought, at least, it would be an option for ppl to use it if they wanted.
