It would be nice to allow integration of a forum that matches that exact theme of the vshare page....with a link at the top. Has this been thought of before?

Go find a script even one thats pre installed in your cpanel lets say php nuke. Install it and create a button to go to it and done.
This is one of the popular request after "upload progress bar", we are getting near as our programmers starting to fix bugs little faster. So in coming months, i hope we can fix most of the bugs and start adding new features.Originally Posted by turtletracker
I use mybb which recomend. There are aload of mods and very easy to change the theme to look like another site.
With already having a community website, i decided to link to forum, where the tag button was. with tags being on the homepage anyway and not many people using them, i thought i would do this.
Check out http://www.wildlife-videos.com and you will see wot i mean.

I really like your site Steve, and I really like wildlife too. It is my passion. I signed up for your site:) I like how you linked to your forum and I may do that for the time being but I am wanting something that matches my vshare identically. You see, i'm a perfectionist and sometimes it drives me crazy :P I know that some people are good in php and changing templates...but I am not. I am good at installing things and doing small custom mods...but I haven't had much practice in creating templates in css or anything. I would just use my vbulletin if I knew how to match the template exactly to my vshare....
Best wishes,
Mike

I dont know much about VB but that was why i suggested mybb as it is so easy to alter. The support forum with them is great too.
Good luck anyway and please post a vid as i will for you :)
you could use iframe in a static page and just set the page so that only members can view it (page with forum iframe). On your forum end, you can then allow guests to post and you are done :)
Be nice to have a bridge file that would sync the user database in vshare to the member database in the forum so that one login gets them into both the forum & the vshare side. The bridge would update both databases whenever someone signed up, changed their email addy, and so on.
Hey Steve, how did you customize or change the tags button? Which file should I go into to do that? The header file?Originally Posted by mrblackbird
