Default can I run two versions of Vshare same mysql databse?

Here is the deal, I am having problems with my comments and ratings so what I wanted to try was to install another copy of vshare using the original template, because i immediately after i installed i changed it over to the blue theme, but i think and strongly believe that the reason why my deal do not work is because i am using blue theme vs the original temp files. But to make sure I wanted to upload an unmodified copy and have it use the same database so I dont loose my users or videos. Can this be done?

This can be done, just upload all files to another folder, copy your existing include/config.php to the new vshare folder, modify the baseurl and basedir, your new vshare installation using existing database is ready.

my assumptions are correct the rate and the comments work on that template. I dont see my videos or my thumbnail previews but I am sure all i have to do is copy my thumbnails form the other site and the videos. Wel i liked that other template but i guess I can work with this one. Any ideas if they blue template will be updated?
