[VERIFIED] - Possibility to sort Channels

Today the channels are diaplyed in the order they were created.

I really need to be able to set the order they will be displyed in.

Either by alphabet or manually enter diplay order.

yes i agree this is a much needed feature as it makes it easier for everyone to find what they want and also when uploading a video and choosing a channel it will be a lot easier for users to put videos in the correct channel as they will be able to find it.

Yup I have the same problem, I need my channels to be in alphabetical order .. does anybody have a quick fix for this? I tried changing the CHID in phpmyadmin but that didn't work and also reset the images because the image id isn't in the same table.

It can be viewed alphabetically if your on the newest patch, click the arrow above the channel name in admin panel.

thanks but I have the latest release and that only orders the channels in admin and does not reflect on the site.

Is there anything we can do in the meantime? How does it sort the channels so we can work around it?

I tried this but it didn't work: I deleted all the channels in the admin panel and then re-entered them all in alphabetical order and the channels page still displayed them out of order (not admin panel, but on the main page).

Which suprised me since not only are they in alphabetical order they are also in numeric order, yet they appear out of order on the site. Is there a way of working around this until the patch comes out?

You could implement the code used in the admin templates to do it.

I'm not exactely a code genius...I can usually figure stuff out, but...can you please provide an example?

And does anyone know how to get rid of the border line on the right hand side? I set the background to white and there's this gray line appearing on every page except the index.php and I can't find where that's comin from.
