AUTHORIZE.NET PAYMENT PROCESSING

Ok, so I am looking through my .tpl files and I notice that you guys have Authorize.net payments in there but it is not enabled or something...HOW DO I ENABLE THAT?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?!?!?

DOES IT WORK?!?!?!?!?

PLEASE HELP I need to get as far away from paypal as possible!

I would not use authorize until you have enough members to justify the cost. On average you'll be looking at spending $250+ in set up fees, plus the fees for each charge. That price will vary with each distributor, so if you do go through authorize, make sure to get quotes from a number of different distributors/partners.

I haven't looked at any of the files for the payment system. I had just assumed that there's an API for paypal in the template. If so, it shouldn't be too difficult to swap this out with the API for any other processor.

thanks for the list and the info...I just noticed that authorize was already built in to the vshare but for some reason was not being used. I would love to have something else to use though. It would seem that in order to process payments however they all want you to furnish a certificate of business ownership and all of that, which really is a pain. Seems like a lot of paperwork for a simple start up.

I personally like to use linkpoint.com for credit card processing, but I'm not sure if they are adult friendly or not.
