upload and covert error

uploading as a user after the file is uploaded the server redirects to a finish page like http://www.somedomain.com/vshare/upload ... d=gyeb962u which ends up a blank "cannot display" page to the user. The file sits unfinished in the file upload.

Some users do not get anything and the log file does not show any activity yet in the video dir are new videos.

ONE other problem, on another site running 2.4 (just upgraded to 2.6 today though) that allowed a user to upload an exe file!

100 cron jobs later and the files have not started to convert. Not even in the log files. They do not show that the user uploaded the video either.

How can I get the program to allow encoding of user uploaded videos?
