    Default Some videos not playing

    Hello,

I can successfully upload WMV, AVI and MPG videos, but one of the AVI videos I uploaded does not play, althouh the other AVIs play fine. What happens (and I have seen this before) is that the player will open with the timeline 1/2 way across. When you click the Play arrow (>) centre screen nothing happens. What causes this type of error? Could it simply be a problem with the source video? The strange thing is that the still frame images of the video are successfully created and everything looks fine. This file is about 80mb in size (source) but I have set all upload parameters to allow for up to 200mb size original files to be uploaded. All other AVI files play fine.

    Any advise is appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Scott.

    Hello,

Just a thought. Is it possible the conversion process does not complete fully if a user closes the browser while waiting for the confirmation of upload page displays. Would this potentially cause errors in the FLV video file that is created?

    Cheers,

    Scott.

    Hello again,

Another thing I have noticed with this video is that the search words that should bring the video up in the search do not work... It is looking more like the upload process was interrupted at some point. Can anyone confirm this, or has anyone come across this?

    Thanks again,

    Scott.

    Hi leki,

Can you please tell me how I change to background conversion? How long does this usually take, as opposed to real time processing?

    Cheers,

    Scott.

Leki, figured it out. All ok now... Background processing has fixed the problem. Thanks
