i was wondering... how do you change the mplayer skin? if you dont have root access?

mplayer isn't used to play the video - it's just used to do the conversion. The player skin is embedded in an swf file. It's located in the vshare files: /player/player.swf. The .swf file is compiled from a Shockwave Flash fla file, so I don't think you can change it.
