.htaccess problem?

Hi. I have created a subdomain on my server but when I try to access the subdomain I get an error about the user.php not being found.

My hosting company said this was a problem with the .htaccess file.

So my question is why is the script requesting the user.php when I go into my subdomain folders?

Can this be fixed with the .htaccess file.
