great software,
Everything works fine, but after I post the video there is no thumbnails.
Is this something I have to do in the form of screen shots?
If not can you help me?

Thanks for the assist
I own tons of conversion programs including Sorensen squeeze, that can convert to any format. Over the past few days I have tried MOV,FLV,WMV and several others, and the same thing...no thumbnails.
I keep deleting them because they show no thumbnails. :-(
thanks
Mostly thumbnail problem is caused by ffmpeg or ffmpeg-php. Try reinstalling latest version of ffmpeg.
I will get right on it.
I am having a similar problem. It happens with asf files made a couple years ago and 160x120 format. Perhaps the format change makes the thumbnail impossible as the pixelization and lost frames caused by expanding a small video seems to make it happen. All other video seems to have no problem. The quality of the picture makes no difference on the 160x120 as I have 28kb encoded asf as well as 300kb. Both do not get a thumbnail but the files are encoded (albiet the small ones suck on expansion).
Hope this can be figured out. I would like to put up some 1000 of these small videos from 1997 to 2003 vintage.

Thanks for the post too!
Can't I just convert (again) from 160x120 format to another dimension and format? Or would I have to re-master the whole clips? (again) :-)
My hosting server has been going through my site for over a week now
trying to see where they failed, I will have to let them know what you found.
You did mention that certain formats work..
What formats and at what dimension?
again thanks for the post. :-)

I got another problem with someone putting a 720x480 wmv, but it just does not like this file I think. I converted to 640x480 and it balked at that (only 80meg). Avi it takes all sorts, but I did not do a 160x120, those are really for the old modem people and why make them if you cant use them. I am re-encoding again from the 720x480 to 300x350 wmv to see if that works and will try converting direct to avi and see if that uploads.
But the asf 160x120 just dont make those thumbnails.
I would also like to make them flv's at that size so the video does not bugger as bad, but... who knows yet.

Jus thought I would let you know what programs I was using to convert video files to amy format.
Total video converter (from flv to anything)
Sorenson Squeeze. (awesome program)
Converts all to all, at any size and speed. I love it lots!
Editing programs I sue:
Sony Vegas video
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe After effects.
For Animations I use:
Newtek Lightwave 3D 8.0 (render in all but flv formats)
Terragen/Terracam/terrapath
Luxology Modo
Metacreations Bryce
Vue 5 and on and on ....
point is they all render in modern formats, and they all work elsewhere.
Might have to take their hosting package, just to resolve the issue.
Or better yet just host my own server with a static IP.....
