    Default user sign up problem

    Hello,

First off thanks for such a great script at such a low price!
My problem is semi complicated. I have a hosting account with godaddy (i know) and the way additional domains are set up is, Lets say my main domain is hotchicks.com and I have another domain hotmilfs.com. I would have to create a folder in the root directory called hotmilfs and point hotmilfs.com to it and install the script in the hotmilfs folder.

My problem is when I sign up as a user and try to verify it through email link i am getting The requested URL /example/user_signup_verify.php was not found on this server. I had similar problem with watch tab and I just went into the header.tpl and changed /recent/ to /video.php. I have double checked to see all permissions are correct and I ftp in binary mode. Is there a place I could fix it like I did the watch tab and make it so it isn't reading my subfolder, which really isnt a subfolder but the root for my other domain. I hope im making some sense. Thanks in advance!

Look like your web server is not supporting mod_rewrite.

Also verify your host support vshare requirements.

    YouTube Clone Server Requirements

As far as i know, you can only install requirements in a godaddy vps or dedicated server, not on shared hosting plans.

I contacted them and they explained as long as it doesn't interfere with other users and slow down the server. I asked them for ffmpeg path and they said I can install it my self. I only plan to upload small video clips 10 -15 mb so I should be fine. As far as the mod_rewrite is it a file or something I need enabled on the server?

The only thing I can think of is swapping my main domain around with the sub and see if it works because I just realize the channels are doing the same thing. The other tabs are working home,upload,tags,channel.. So wouldn't it be a problem with all if its mod_rewrite?

You can install only if you are on a dedicated server or vps. If you are on shared, you can't do that.

Te ffmpeg really isn't the issue! I dont think thats the reason some tabs wouldn't work. I strongly believe its because of the way the domain is setup in a subfolder. Go daddy already have ffmpeg installed or I wouln't be able to generate thumbs. My files will already be flv format so Ill probably just embed them. However I downloaded the encoders so I could install the script. ffmpeg.exe.mencoder and mplayer.exe and flvtool2.exe

I wish I had somebody that could help me and not just out to sell me some ffmpeg hosting.

This is from go daddy or g diddy as some like to say.

Mod_rewrite is an Apache Web server module installed on all of our Linux servers by default; it does not have to be installed or enabled. Our Linux hosting accounts support most mod_rewrite functions.
Because enabling mod_rewrite is handled at a global level, you do not need to enable it in your httpd.conf file. You only need to add the desired code to the body of your .htaccess file.

so is there any other reason why I get No input file specified. It doesn't appear to be mod_rewrite and surely not the ffmpeg. Please advise...

Initial error you say look like mod_rewrite. There can be many reson depending on how your web server is setup. Godady have custom setup, only used by them. Post your web site url, i can verify if its a mod_rewite problem or not.
