Default Upload error - cannot instantiate non-existent class

    Hi,

I've done a new install, my host has supposedly set up all the server requirements listed on my vps, and gave me the paths to the different programs. I get this error when uploading any format whatsoever:

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: ffmpeg_movie in /home/ozvids/public_html/upload.php on line 208

    Any ideas folks?

    Help appreciated!

    Cheers.

ffmpeg-php is not available on your server or is not working properly. Solution is reinstall ffmpeg and ffmpeg-php.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll see what the host company has to say.

EDIT: nope, the host confirms it's there and the path is correct. Guess I'll just have to go with your recommended host and let them sort out problems of this nature.

Check your phpinfo, it should say ffmpeg-php

Also some time, even if it is installed, may not work because it is not properly installed or using an old version of ffmpeg.

I changed hosts yesterday and have just set it up on the host you've recommended - hostonnet.com - and guess what, exactly the same problem :-(

Fatal error: Class 'ffmpeg_movie' not found in /home/ozvidsco/public_html/upload.php on line 208

This is using the settings hostonnet.com have given me.

Will they know what the problem is? I'll email and find out.

http://www.ozvids.com/phpinfo.php - no mention of ffmpeg whatsoever - and these are vshare specialist hosts? :?

Just contact them and tell ffmpeg-php is not working, they will get it fixed.

    Thanks Admin. Have emailed them.

Very surprised it doesn't work straight away seeing they advertise the package I signed up with as an ffmpeg package.

Hope it works, this script looks excellent :)

Its more a problem of where you have set the script to look for the installed modules more often than not.
