.htaccess, RewriteRules only half working?

Hi,

I am in the process of installing vShare for the first time on a brand new ubuntu 10.10 LAMP server. I am having difficulty with the rewrite rules. I have debugged and for example:

/upload/ redirects to upload.php
/upload/success/12// is not redirecting to upload_success.php?id=12

Am I missing something obvious here? It seems that lots of other rules are not quite working correctly. I can't do /tag/funny for example either.

Try re uploading the .htaccess file. Also make sure you have mod_rewrite enabled in the server.
