that could work for admin uploads but user uploads wont as i bet 90% of my site visiters wouldnt know what the bitrate was ;)

be better if it could be auto detected by the software.

Yep... fully agree. Auto detect would be great...not sure it is a do-able though.

Auto detection would be great, it's a waste of space if the quality is the same.

You can change convert command in

include/setting/video_conversion.php

Also you will able to see the command used to convert the video in your debug log (templates_c/debug.txt)

If you need to ask the mailing list, you need to provide the convert command used for converting the video to FLV.

I found the debug.txt file information very interesting - thank you for adding this bit of information.

My brain is a sponge... thank goodness I found the information again. I wanted to up the bitrate and couldn't remember where to look. I've now saved this posting :D :roll:
