Audio player working - EDIT BROKEN NOW!

I would like to see the audio pages working in the next version. They seem to be going to waste.

I've managed to get the audio player working on my site, however it took me about 19 hours to do it.

Unfortuantly this is not going to be available as an add-on from me as the coding is complex, and isn't easy to get running.

Maybe in my spare time I will work on making the installation easier and once done, I will add a URL on the boards for other to download if anyone requests it.

cool...i dont think audio would be any good for the type of site i'll be having but i would like to see it running?.....got a link?

The admin forgot to say that the latest upgrade deleted all the files in the MySQL database for the audio section.

They also removed the scripts etc for the audio section to work correctly from the functions etc.. and thanks to this my audio section on the site has been deleted.

Please admin when removing things from the database etc or making changes to the MySQL etc.. please could you place warnings as I've had to remove what was a popular feature of my site.

galnet, it was done by mistake. Only next day i realize you are using audio section and i have updated the upgrade.php and removed "delete audio table commands". Guess i was late in doing the update.

Ah it's alright, I will rebuild the audio section when I get the time!

There WAS an audio section ;)

it was included in the old vshare releases although it never properly worked and was unused....but galnet got it working.

Hi,

I've deceided that I'm going to rebuild the auido section. This time I'm hoping that it will be designed as a Plug and Play system, and if I'm successful it means that I may be able to supply it as an add-on for others to use.

If I'm really lucky and get it to intergrate with the admin section etc.. I will provide the source code to the admin (if they want it) and hopefully they will add it to an offical release so everyone can benifit from it.

Hopefully I should have a beta trial up within the next day or so.
Wish me luck, I think I'm going to need it!
