I am the owner of http://www.youruploadsite.com/ and I was trying to find out how much my site is worth. I tried to use online machines to find out and one of the answers I got was $ 96,891 http://bizinformation.org/us/www.youruploadsite.com and I also got numbers that my site is worth $ 250. Can someone estimate how much my site is worth. I am not interested in selling just curious. Thanks.

It is difficult to get a correct quote with automated softwares. Worth of a name depends primarily on how much someone is willing to pay for it. Some sites are sold in millions and other similar sites just manage to stay afloat. It is in the end buyer who decides how much the site is worth.

Prefixes or suffixes can REALLY hurt the value of a domain name. For example, add an "e" or "i" or "my" [or "your"] in front of the domain, or a "site" behind it and you’ve just destroyed most of its value. (Exceptions exist of course, such as EBay.com which is worth millions of times Bay.com, but that is because of the tens of millions of dollars poured into branding the domain name. Seen totally independently of the site/service it relates to, eBay.com is worth much less than Bay.com)


You've got a "your" in front and a "site" behind - I'd say, without trying to hurt your feelings, that the domain name itself is worth very little beyond the registration fee.

I would not trust any free or even paid valuations.

It all comes down to what the buyers think.

I sold my last site Paid Valuation $4,539.60
for a whopping £160 (only around $300) i sold in auction so i had to let it go.

you will probably get $250-$400 for that site mainly because of the template and some of the content.
