Problem is with mplayer installation. If mplayer is properly installed, it should be able to convert wmv videos to flv format. It may be also due to codec used in your video is not supported by mplayer. Since mplayer is still in development, it can be a bug with the version you have installed. Try different version or report bug to mplayer mailing list.
